Employee Spotlight: Terri Surratt
Terri Surratt is one of the many Mavro team members who help make our clients successful. An account manager at Mavro for four years, Terri has been supporting customers, listening to their needs and making sure they are connected to the right resources and the latest solutions.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy building relationships with customers and making personal connections. For example, when one of our customers recently retired, another Mavro team member and I were invited to join the retirement celebration. It was special to be a part of that occasion!
Give an example of a customer problem you helped solve.
When a customer recently lost a key internal support person, I helped guide them through our Training Center to build up their knowledge and learn how to support their Mavro solution. I coordinated with our support team to create a training plan and a path to support the solution.
Tell us about a recent trip or vacation.
My most recent vacation was a mission trip to Honduras where I helped work on a new church, delivered food and new shoes to families and hosted crafts and games with kids at a local school each day. I even revived my clowning skills to make balloon animals for the kids! It was a physically and emotionally challenging week, but it was wonderful to serve others.
What is one thing you enjoy outside of work?
I love bird-watching and have birdfeeders outside all my windows. I think it helps us be more intentional about the world around us and slow down a bit to enjoy the gift of nature.
Do you have any pets?
Yes! This is my sweet, senior cat named Ollie.
How would you describe the Mavro company culture?
- Teamwork: It’s great to be a part of a company where EVERYONE is willing to step in and assist in any way they can – the president, the development team, the support staff, people in all positions.
- Communication: Mavro holds monthly meetings with the entire team to hear from all business areas and discuss what’s next. It really helps everyone get on the same page and work toward common goals.
- Celebration: This is not a “sometimes” thing – it happens consistently across the company! We celebrate the success of the teams, individuals, and the company overall. One of our largest celebrations is the annual company retreat. This year it was in beautiful Amelia Island, FL.
