Joan Treba Spotlight

Employee Spotlight: Joan Treba — The Soul of Mavro Support

If you’ve ever sent a support request to Mavro, chances are you’ve had a speedy, friendly reply from Joan Treba. In fact, she’s likely responded before you even hit “send!”

After 10 years with the company, Joan has become the virtual “face” of Mavro’s customer support dispatch—though if you’ve only known her as a name in your inbox, you’re in for a treat. Joan is more than a ticket-routing wizard—she’s the glue that holds a lot of Mavro’s daily operations together, all while balancing rhinestones, a good book, and Green Day concerts.

The Center of Her Work: Family

For Joan, work and family aren’t two separate worlds—they’re beautifully intertwined. Her role includes responding to support tickets (usually in less than a minute!), assigning engineers to requests based on their customer knowledge, generating reports, managing software licenses, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She even helps welcome new customers into the Mavro “family,” walking them through the support process and gathering feedback to make things even better.

And speaking of family—Joan gets to work every day with her husband, Tom Treba, Mavro’s EVP of Professional Services. “He’s the best boss I could ask for,” she says (and no, she didn’t even have to). “He cares deeply about our customers and our Mavro team—not just professionally, but personally. I could sing his praises for days!”

A Culture That Feels Like Home

Ask Joan what makes Mavro special, and her answer is immediate: “It’s more like a family than a company.” With a culture of compassion, trust, and teamwork, Joan sees every day as a chance to support not just clients but coworkers, too. “If someone needs to step away, someone else steps in without hesitation. We’ve got each other’s backs—no one ever gets left behind.”

That spirit of connection spills over into every customer interaction. When a support request comes in, Joan isn’t just assigning a case number—she’s making sure every client gets matched with someone who knows them, their system, and how to get things fixed fast. “We want every customer to feel like they’re being taken care of by family,” she says. “Because they are.”

Dance Mom & Gemming Queen

Outside of work, Joan’s life continues to orbit around family—particularly her daughter Holly, a competitive dancer with a trophy shelf that’s getting harder to dust. Joan travels far and wide to support her daughter’s solos, duos, and team dances across multiple styles. “This year she’s in seven routines—and just won first overall for her Tap solo in the senior category,” Joan beams.

Behind every performance is a labor of sparkly love: Joan’s gemming work (that’s rhinestone placement, for the uninitiated) can involve gluing over a thousand stones to a single costume. “It’s a little obsessive,” she laughs. “But it’s all part of being a dance mom.”

That same sense of dedication shows up in her community life. Joan is a leader in her church, coordinating Bible study groups, teaching Sunday School with Holly, and preparing for her ordination as a church Elder this June.

Chocolate Lab & Classic Literature

The Treba household runs on faith, music, and a lot of heart. Their chocolate Labrador, Frank, keeps things lively, while getaways to Coronado Island and Lake of the Ozarks recharge the family’s spirit. And when it’s concert time, the whole crew rallies around their favorite band—Green Day.

In quieter moments, Joan can be found nose-deep in a book (favorites include Pride and Prejudice, The Woman in White, and Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers) or cooking up a new recipe—smoking meats, baking sweets, and taste-testing along the way.

The Heart of Mavro Support

Joan’s old-school TV lineup includes Murder She Wrote and Golden Girls, which somehow feels fitting—equal parts clever, reliable, and endlessly kind-hearted. But the real magic of Joan Treba is how she makes everyone—from coworkers to customers—feel like part of one big, well-loved, perfectly coordinated team.
