A Year-End Message
As we approach the end of 2020, I want to pause and express how thankful I am for the well-being of the Mavro family – our team members, our many customers and colleagues. However, I remain mindful that many families have not been as fortunate. I am likewise appreciative for all the first responders, healthcare professionals, teachers and other essential workers who face the highest risks. Indeed, the pandemic has taken an unthinkable toll.
Not surprisingly, our company – like virtually every business – has encountered its share of challenges. Yet, every challenge in life brings with it a counterbalance: an opportunity to dream, discover, innovate, and when necessary, reevaluate, redirect, transform. Organizations that ignore these opportunities flounder and fail. Those that are willing to engage persevere and thrive.
I am grateful and humbled that our team has embraced the latter option. Consequently, it has turned out to be another exceptional year at Mavro.
Our sales and marketing teams were particularly tested. Trade shows were cancelled. Sales visits were deferred, as prospects struggled to work remotely using their legacy systems and were unable to consider more efficient processing options. Not surprisingly, we experienced a slowdown in the spring and summer months.
Nevertheless, our team did not sit idle. We designed and launched a new Mavro website. We reached out to existing customers asking how we could help. We researched and explored new opportunities and markets. We collaborated with key business partners.
These efforts have paid significant dividends. Traffic at our website has increased 30%. More and more prospects are engaging than ever before, looking to utilize our One-Touch process to reduce costs and minimize risk to their employees. As a result, our sales in just the last three months have put us back on track and even exceeded our 2020 sales target. We are thankful for the recognition and confidence so many of you have placed in our team.
By year-end our implementation teams will have successfully completed over 100 projects spanning moderate add-ons to full system replacements. Remarkably, all were completed remotely – an astounding feat in light of the complexity on several of these projects.
The Mavro support team didn’t miss a beat. We maintained our sub-two-minute response time and prompt root-cause issue resolution. Even more importantly, we collaborated with numerous customers, helping them transition to work-at-home environments. Notably, although our product was architected for remote processing, a number of organizations needed assistance in setting up their own infrastructures for at-home workers. We have been happy to assist.
Our development team not only met this year’s challenge, they accelerated our investment in new technology. Again, in the last 12 months, we added more than 250 new enhancements to MavBridge™, our flagship software suite. While remote and mobile capture, along with advanced forms processing, were our primary focus, we are extremely excited to introduce new products in 2021. Be sure to stay tuned for these announcements.
Our success through the years has been guided by keeping true to core principles, which has been even more important in 2020. We continue to underscore conservative growth and fiscal responsibility. Accordingly, despite the challenges encountered this year, we have remained profitable and debt-free.
By all measures, it’s been an extremely successful year. Moreover, as our sales pipeline, project counts, and new product introductions crescendo, we are more convinced and excited than ever that Mavro’s future is bright and will remain so into the foreseeable future.
We owe much of our success to our customers. Many of you have become personal friends over the last several years. Thank you for your continued confidence and trust in our team. We pledge to continue setting high expectations and exceeding them in every way possible.
To the Mavro Team – you are incredible. Your integrity, work ethic and passion for excellence is what really sets you apart. Truly, it is a privilege to be part of such a wonderful team. Talk to you all soon at the virtual Mavro Water Cooler.
In closing, I encourage everyone to take some extra time and reflect on the past year. Recognize the challenges, but appreciate the many blessings and opportunities we also have experienced. This is the most wonderful time of the year, and I hope you enjoy special moments with family and loved ones. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
With Kind Regards and Friendship,
President & Founder
